Purpose of the flight and payload description

MADS was a project carried out at LTU to develope and test a simple, cheap, low-weight, low power-consumption, small dimensions attitude determination system with possible science application. The targets of this system are CubeSats and micro-satellites. A first version of the System was tested during this stratospheric balloon flight launched from ESRANGE, Sweden. A second test was carried out several months later from the same place, but this time onboard a research rocket
