The balloon was launched from Sao Jose dos Campos, on June 23th, 1968. This launch was the first done in Brazil in the framework of the creation of Brazil's national stratospheric balloon program.

After made their measurements on the south region of the country, the balloon traveled east over the Atlantic Ocean, entering the Southafrican coast and being recovered by a team of the french space agency CNES, near Pretoria.
