Purpose of the flight and payload description

The flux of cosmic-ray electrons in the energy interval of 17-63 MeV was measured by an instrument specifically designed to detect cosmic ray electrons. The system was composed by two scintillation-telescope counters that defined the acceptance cone of the system, and a gas Cerenkov counter filled with SF, at 2.2 atm absolute pressure.
