Details of the balloon flight and scientific outcome

Launch site: Domingos Rego Aerodrome, Timón, Maranhao, Brazil
Balloon launched by: Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES)
Balloon manufacturer/size/composition: Open balloon model 150z 150.000 m3
Campaign: ELBC (Equatorial Large Balloon Campaign)
Payload weight: 250 kg

The balloon was launched at 23:05 local time by dynamic method using an auxiliary balloon, but a hole in it prevented the flight. The instrument was dragged on the ground so after a few minutes the flight was aborted.
