Details of the balloon flight

Balloon launched on: 6/24/2005 at 6:50 local
Launch site: Domingos Rego Aerodrome, Timón, Maranhao, Brazil  
Balloon launched by: Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES)
Balloon manufacturer/size/composition: Zero Pressure Balloon model 150z Zodiac - 150.000 m3
End of flight (L for landing time, W for last contact, otherwise termination time): 6/24/2005
Landing site: Flight aborted. Payload was retrieved from the forest near the launch base.
Campaign: ELBC (Equatorial Large Balloon Campaign)  
Payload weight: 465 kg

The balloon was launched at 6:50 local time on June 24, 2005 using the auxiliary balloon method.

After the payload release (hanging from auxiliary balloon) was evident that the main balloon failed and can't to flight.

The flight was aborted and the payload was retrieved from the forest near the launch base. This same experiment was reflown on the next day succesfuly.
