The flight was succesfull from the point of view of technical operations. However post-flight analysis showed that a large DC offset was present. Small signals would be very hard to detect, if at all. As a result, several modifications were made in the instrument before the next flight performed on September 20, 1973. The adjustments that were made eliminated this problem.
